Tha Blaze History
ThaPhilliBlaze was created as a show to encompass the Hip-Hop talent within tha Greater Philadelphia Area. The First Show happened on September 19 2K1 at the Grape Street Pub in Manayunk, Philadelphia with a crowd of close to 200 people. Through out the year it grew to a show of 800 people highlighting such acts as Cold Crush Brothers, Grand Agent, Ill Advised, Cee Knowledge (Doodlebug of Digable Planets), DiaTribe, Prophets of the Ghetto, Supreem da Regulata, Infanit, Subtle Ground, Mr. Blackston, United By Fate, AdLib, Keith Collins (BasementBrothers.com) and the list goes on.
These shows would not have happened if it were not for the communities of Hip Hop within and surrounding the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. The initiative for ThaBlaze as an entity is to grow the show, e-mail promotions and all other entities involved with the progression of Philadelphia, American and International Hip Hop as a whole. Shows were happening through out the Tri State area Philadelphia, Allentown, New Jersey.
